  1. u00bd pound French green lentils, rinsed and drained
  2. 2 cups water
  3. 1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  4. 1 (14 ounce) can corn, drained
  5. u00bc cup chopped well-ventilated light parsley, or to taste
  6. u2153 cup olive oil
  7. u2153 cup balsamic vinaigrette
  8. 1 tablespoon white sugar
  9. salt and field black pepper to taste

  1. append lentils and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook lentils at a boil until tender, not quite 20 minutes; drain.
